We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Assurance Manager to join the team in our Baltimore office.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to alternate time between both remote and office. YOUR TEAM.

This position will support our Manufacturing & Distribution and Cannabis Group. M&D and Cannabis fall under our Commercial Services practice. With integrated teams focused on the consumer, hospitality, and manufacturing and distribution industries, we help companies leverage process innovation, manage growth capital, and support your brand strategy. The Cannabis industry offers significant growth opportunities to companies and investors committed to navigating a shifting business environment and to developing a sound strategy, efficient operations, and rigorous compliance processes. You will work on a team with other Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. This team has a passion for what they do and a focus on consistently delivering value to our clients.

YOUR ROLE. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Drive client engagements.
  • Review and prepare financial statements, footnotes, workpapers, management letters, agreed upon procedures, and other attestation engagements. 
  • Demonstrate professional creativity in dealing with client matters and make constructive suggestions to improve client operations. 
  • Effectively analyze transactions, recognizing potential or existing problems with appropriate research and consulting.
  • Accept responsibility and utilize firm resources to complete assignments.
  • Oversee, mentor, and develop staff.

YOUR EXPERIENCE. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting required
  • CPA designation is required
  • 5+ years' experience in a public accounting firm required
  • Commercial services and/or M&D industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of audit software ProSystem Fx a plus
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills
